Reflections About Syndication

There is a growing trend for Syndication. One of my sites, has over 1000 twitter followers. Bots, spam, marketers, getting real people is not as easy as one may think.  A follower called Kim tweets a post about DIET with 30+ comments…. from a PR ZERO blog. It sounded impossible. I asked it the post was paid, and she said it was a SYNDICATION, that means that it is a group of people that comment on their blog.

It may sound funny but that attracts people, traffic and page rank. So on Kim’s suggestion I enrolled on the TSA http://tsamastery.com/ the thing is that it demands 10 day training with videos that goes on forever.  I did watch the first day, and plan to see the remaining but, it is costing me time.

Kim also recommended Synnd http://synnd.com/ with 300 members that pay $97 monthly. For this kind of funds, there a lot more I can do, after all, I can always hire someone on FIVERR

Philosophy taught me that if to beggars exchange money that will attract more money for them, and the same goes for traffic. Yet I could be wasting time on comments that would be good as spam and I already have that on my blogs.

How I am Selling Backlinks on Fiverr and Strategies

Fiverr Income

Fiverr Sales Record Page

I have several gigs on Fiverr. Here is my profile: http://www.fiverr.com/users/mrpcsol

and although I provide book covers and all sorts of quick internet services, a my best selling gig is:

BACKLINKS

for my site www.say-web.com. How?

Page Rank. Say-Web has a Google Page Rank of 4 and buyers, I believe are looking to raise their own page rank.

Traffic. The site has some traffic, that does not hurt either

Price. $5 for 3 months is a price that most people cannot make a big mistake.

But the bottom line is that it is selling. How am I doing?

  1. Instructions Page: I request the buyer to send me Anchor and URL – simple, and easy to track.
  2. Delivery Screen Shot. On completing the order I UPLOAD A SCREEN SHOT of the link to clear an possible doubts. A sample screen shot is seen below.
  3. Expiry Registration. I write on my calendar the expiry day of the link, hoping to have a REPEAT CUSTOMER contacting the buyer close the expiry date proposing a renewal. The truth is that I have been having repeat customers, many after trying the gig, contacting me directly and paying for a whole year in advance.  With time new customers stay steady while repeat customers tend to accumulate. The technique is guaranteed to work, good luck!

Using TweetDeck to Manage Seveal Twitter Accounts

Managing Different Twitter Account

Managing Different Twitter Accounts

Yes. I currently manage some 10+ websites. Some for clients and some are domains I develop. ‘The domains I develop they generate income mainly from AFFILIATE SALES and I have an aversion to spam. I just can’t do it. so the formula is to create credibility and than recommend products and services I use. As a result of that the followers I  have on my forex site are different than the followers I have on the tutorial, meditation and other sites. The list is very valuable since it generates sales and enables new affiliations. When I tell that 100% of my followers are real traders, forex  brokers get really excited. The list must be maintained. Here are some vital tasks to keep my follower list in shape

  • Trim followers, specially spammers, bots
  • Respond tweets and direct messages hoping to attain a real contact
  • Create my own tweets, in order to keep my own accounts alive

I do all that from TweetDeck.

TweetDeck is a Twitter client, running in Adobe Air that is totally free. Works great and generates what I want. What most people don’t know that currently it is a funded venture, meaning that they are not profitable, having their expenses covered by investors. Yes this means they are paying for you.

Here are some features I like.

  • Popping windows with recent tweets while I work. Keeps me updated
  • Easy unfollow of spammers
  • Check profile
  • Linked In and Facebook accounts enable.

To make a long story short tweet deck is a great tool and for a great price (free). Here is the link: http://www.tweetdeck.com/

Maximum Site Flipping – A WSO worth the price

A Case Study. I like everyone else, check, re check before buying. It is always good to have a scape route. For $19 mr. John Lenaghan gives a compact 30 page + 2 videos on how to obtain quality results selling sites on Flippa. Some tips are quite obvious but they are part of a whole. It is clear from both video and ebook that mr. Lenaghan is experienced and is entitled to give valuable advice. WSO price is around of what I believe is a fair price. It also comes with 2 videos. The WSO is about a case study of a site he was selling, The ModelRailroader.com and had a good closing price.

It will only work if the site has a value. There are several key differences if you are selling a site on Flippa and somewhere else, and mr. Lenaghan knows and explains how to take advantage of them, such as comments, when to post stats and how to establish credibility when it comes to demonstrate earnings. Also have in mind that mr. Lenagahan case study is about a site with proven performance, without any doubt that will have bidders. Have in mind that more than 50% of the sites on flippa go unsold….

Rich Dad advice is not to sell. My policy is to sell a site that is profitable on a last case. Robert Kiwosaky points out clearly if you have something that puts money in your pocket, constantly, just obtain more and you become rich. Yet there is a time for everything.

The Ethics of the Duplicate Bye Bye WP Plugin

The Duplicate Bye Bye Wordpress plugin claims to “FOOL” the Google robot in to registering your content as unique. Most webmasters will do that to “automate” their web site maintenance. The fact is that the plugin some how works, and for $17 is an easy investment for those out there managing several blogs, like myself. Yet even if technically fit, I have a few problems with the Bye Bye Duplicate plugin.

Credibility Increases Influence. Most of the affiliate sales I have, specially the most profitable came from people I know or subscribers that have been following me or my blogs, because I am the writer of the content and they know what I say, believe. This creates CREDIBILITY on a sales pitch. Junk content is just copy and paste from someone else’s work and will hardly provide credibility what a web master should be really looking for.

Duplicate Content Damages Search Results Quality. If everyone did the same, search results would be populated by the same results, therefore making very difficult for search engines to provide relevant results for queries. it is a lose lose situation.

The money earned may damage your character. It is very true that this plugin may make it easier to score more affiliate sales, and the utilities don”t ask where the money is from, and probabily this is not even illegal, but it is just not right,.

Fail Safe Content Creation Formula. Search in  yourself what you really want to say, once you put it out, this will attract people, people that needs feels good and you will be accordingly paid, at the end is far easier and healthier then copying and pasting and waiting for results.

The Development of a Mini Site: How to Play Darts

Dutch Boyd is a professional poker player that trades domains. I have my questions about the match, but the fact is he mainly concentrates on buying, selling and developing domains related to gaming. You may have to give him some credit. After winning reportedly close to USD 2.000.000 he is entitled to look for a place to invest his winnings. Gaming domain and sites are a choice.  I am looking for alternatives to blogging, but most of his development is blog centered, wordpress. For those out there here is the breakdown of How to Play Darts Website:

$80 – Domain Registration so far (two years)
$22.50 – Four articles, 400 words each
1 hour – Installing WordPress, matching the theme, entering content
2 hours – Fiddling with .php to include Google adsense code, amazon links, and analytics code
1 hour – Managing copywriter and writing this blog

So in order to break even, this new smoothies website has to make about 13 cents a day and to recover my investment so far in any sort of reasonable timeframe, it will have to do more like a quarter a day.

Recovering a Lost Domain.

A client had a domain that he used for his business. The registrar, even though it was on auto renew, failed to renew the domain. My client lost several business emails. We took the case to a lawyer, that politely said, that unless my client could prove that there were losses indeed, there is no case. The buyer, a speculator, now wants $350 for his questionable work. I submitted a bid, in order to conceal that is the previous owner that needs the domain back, yet, to no avail. They want $350, otherwise, they don’t release the captive domain. Is this legitimate business. What is this kind of people producing?

My Opinion on Note.com

The Domain NOTE.COM was purchased by a professional domainer, Frank Schilling. For someone that has around 400.000 domains, he must know what he is doing,  The “bargain” price of US$115.000 (in 2007), is enough to buy one or two  houses. Page Rank? Zero. and installed an application there were users can post notes.  Note.com  also points out on their home page that “We are not entirely sure where it will go”. I have my guesses, here they are.

The one word, 4 letter, domain has a value, and with time, could even appreciate. For this kind of investment an application that let’s users post notes, does not cost much and it also is a great alternative to parking, maintaining the domain alive. He may even, eventually, find a use for the site. My best wishes, good luck.

Fiverr Arbitrage, Testing an Universal Principal.

I did bump several times on very good ideas at the Warrior Forum I am not so active, but I read a quite frequently. Beats the hell out of the news. I also have a set of beliefs that will rule out some proposals you see there, increasing my chances for going into a good idea. Since I did succeed and did buy and sell considerably on Fiverr and I felt that there I could go a step further and  decided to buy Fiver Arbitrage $19.95.

Mr. Gary VenRooy is an honest fellow and it is a valid idea. I am executing, researching and expanding the idea. Some could say that, for $19.95 you can buy a lot more, besides, it is not 100% fail safe, you may not succeed, and above all is something that your probably though of, but never bothered to try. After investing $20 on it, you will go for it.

mr. VenRooy is actually selling a principle that will work on every field, and he decided to apply this universal law on Fiverr, just to prove his point. It is not as easy as he describes on the post, but is valid. I hope I make my money back, if not, I did learn a couple of things.

How does yahoo, google, facebook, and everyone else know what sites im visiting?

It is called a cookie and in many cases is the same system that grants you access to restricted areas and tracks affiliate sales. A cookie consists of one or more name-value pairs containing bits of information, which may be encrypted for information privacy and data security purposes. The cookie is sent as an HTTP header by a web server to a web browser and then sent back unchanged by the browser each time it accesses that server. It is possible to track pages visited, areas accessed, and in some case even searches. As text, cookies are not executable. Because they are not executed, they cannot replicate themselves and are not viruses. However, due to the browser mechanism to set and read cookies, they can be used as spyware. Anti-spyware products may warn users about some cookies because cookies can be used to track people—a privacy concern, later causing possible malware.

Is it possible to register a domain name that has a dot in the name before the dot com?

No, I am sorry. What you are asking for is called a SUB DOMAIN.
The Domain Name System (DNS) has a tree structure or hierarchy, with each node on the tree being a domain name. A subdomain is a domain that is part of a larger domain, the only domain that isn’t also a subdomain is called the ROOT domain. In general they are organized in sub folders of the root directory, yet it is possible to redirect visitors to other paths.

My domain portfolio is diversified, should I sell my domains individually or as a lot?

Very good question….

Selling Domain Lots

The idea of selling lot’s is to mix good domains with one not so good, and receive a better price for all of them.
So if you believe this strategy will work, go for it, after all, you have minimum bids, if it doesn’t work, you may have to break the lot, park the domain and find some traffic for it.
